Tweens- All 4th - 6th Graders Meeting at the Church every 4th Sunday after "pot luck" from 12:30PM- 2:30PM.
Moto: "Pressing on"
Scripture:
Phil. 3: 12-14- I have not yet received all of those things. I have not yet been made perfect. But I move on to take hold of what Christ Jesus took hold of me for. Brothers and sisters, I don't consider that I have taken hold of it yet. But here is the one thing I do. I forget what is behind me. I push hard toward what is ahead of me. I press on toward the goal to win the prize. God has appointed me to win it. The heavenly prize is Christ Jesus himself. NIV Readers
Who are Tweens?: Tweens is a blend of Teen and Between- Named such because they are between the age group of children and teens, tweens in this transition period have unique personalities with diverse needs. With a foot in each door, tweens are eager to grow up, but still act like kids. Tween are looking for a way to enhance their identity about who they are and where they fit in life. Tweens are looking for places and groups to support positive values that life has to offer: fun, attractiveness, a better life; comfort, stability and reliability; familiarity and dependability. Tweens are in the "in-between" stage, tweens like what teenagers like but scaled down and tween-friendly. They like to be "cool," but innovative with a sophistication.
